1945-48
With the abrupt end to hostilities in Japan in 1945, British troops were diverted to modern day Indonesia. Nationalist feelings in the Dutch colony were stirring and The Parachute Regiment found itself engaged in counter-insurgency until relieved by Dutch Troops.
